Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Navuni, operated by an individual sole proprietor based in Maryland, United States (“Navuni,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Contact: contact@navuni.app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into these Terms. The service is not intended for children.

2. The service

Navuni is an early-stage spending and habit-awareness tool. It may include a delivery-order importer, AI-assisted extraction of order details, a review-and-correct step, deterministic spending estimates, sample or preview data, manual order entry, and a waitlist for future features. Features may be incomplete, changed, suspended, or discontinued.

3. Preview mode

When the service is labeled as being in preview mode, the orders and results shown are samples and are not derived from your screenshots. We will not knowingly present sample data as if it were extracted from your files.

4. AI-assisted extraction

When enabled, screenshots may be sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to identify order details. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or duplicated. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting extracted information. Our software calculates the sums and projections from the values you confirm, but those results still depend on the accuracy of the underlying information.

5. Your screenshots and information

You keep ownership of anything you provide. You grant us a limited, temporary license to transmit, process, and display it only as needed to run and secure the service. You confirm you have the right to upload the material, that processing it as described in our Privacy Policy doesn't violate anyone's rights, and that you will avoid uploading unrelated sensitive information — please crop or hide names, addresses, and payment details where you can. Do not upload another person's private information without permission.

6. Acceptable use

You may not upload malicious, illegal, infringing, or intentionally deceptive content; attempt to extract API keys, credentials, or prompts; bypass rate limits or other controls; automate requests in a way that imposes unreasonable load or cost; poison analytics, logs, waitlist data, or results; or otherwise disrupt the service or its providers. We may block or suspend access that appears abusive or unsafe.

7. Estimates and illustrations

Navuni distinguishes among information observed in the orders you provide, monthly or annual projections based on a limited date range, and illustrative assumptions (such as possible savings from a 20% reduction, or estimated non-food costs). Projections and illustrations are estimates, not guarantees, bank-verified totals, or promises that you will save any particular amount. Your actual spending and results will vary.

8. Not professional advice

Navuni is a spending and habit tool. It does not provide medical, mental-health, nutritional, investment, credit, tax, accounting, or other professional financial advice. Consult an appropriate professional for advice specific to your situation.

9. Waitlist and email

If you join the waitlist, you authorize us to email you about Navuni’s availability and development. You can unsubscribe anytime using the email instructions or by contacting us. Joining does not require a purchase and does not guarantee access, pricing, features, or a launch date. A willingness-to-pay answer is research, not a purchase commitment.

11. Third-party services and brands

The service relies on providers including Vercel, Supabase, and Anthropic, whose availability may affect it. DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, Seamless, and other names belong to their respective owners. Navuni is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with those companies.

12. Our intellectual property

Except for content you provide and third-party materials, Navuni’s software, design, branding, and text are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

13. Beta availability

The service is provided for validation and testing. We may impose limits, correct results, change assumptions, remove data, or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or preservation of your browser state or waitlist record.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Navuni will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost savings, profits, data, or opportunities arising from the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (which, for the free service, is zero).

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Navuni against third-party claims arising from material you upload, your unlawful use of the service, or your violation of another person's rights.

17. Termination

You may stop using the service anytime. We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or discontinuation. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability, and disputes — will survive.

18. Changes

We may update these Terms as the service develops. Updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date, with additional notice for material changes where required.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
